Butterfly Heart

What does the butterfly have in its heart?
Old feelings of defeat, nonsense,
disappointment, distrust, devaluation, poverty... victimhood?
Is its heart broken?
And... How will it sustain that flight,
to spread its creative wings and visit new spaces?
What does its heart hold...
that it could not discover before in its caterpillar stage,
but that beat hidden in the most secret part of its being?
Life probably broke it
and allowed access to that secret chamber,
which shone so brightly
that it awakened its hidden sun.
From its shadows,
the new path was revealed,
the door to her awakening.
And so, slowly,
her transformation began.
With a new feeling,
with new wings,
she spread out in search
of new spaces within her being,
where she could establish her new home
and, perhaps,
a new heart.
