SERIES WOMEN SUBMERGED IN THEIR OWN SEA

Pictorial series (2007–2010)
This series was born out of a state of deep connection with myself. I did not paint it from reason, but from the body, from the experience of inhabiting my inner self as one who immerses themselves in a sacred ocean.
Painting Series (2007–2010) This series was born from a state of deep connection with myself. I didn’t paint it from the mind, but from the body—from the experience of inhabiting my inner world as one who dives into a sacred ocean.Every woman who appears in these paintings is me, and also all the women who live within me. It is not an individual self-portrait, but a symbolic one: I am myself when I meditate, when I surrender to silence, when I allow myself to be carried by the weightlessness of the uncontrollable. But I am also you. We are us. We are many. Each one inhabiting her own inner sea. Some are underwater. Others are not. But all of them are within themselves. For me, that “sea” is not just liquid: it is the internal space where one can get lost and found at the same time. A symbolic womb, a cosmic uterus, a place where no masks exist. Where only the soul remains, pulsing in its most authentic breath. At that stage of my life, I needed to paint from there. From silence. From rebirth. From the emotion that cannot be explained, but vibrates on the skin. These women do not scream. They do not demand. They simply are.And in their being, they transform. When I paint these submerged women, I am not portraying a body, but a state of the soul.A state of floating, of inner listening, of gravity-free freedom.Water speaks to me of the mother. It returns me to the origin where everything is safe, slow, embracing.Where forms disappear, but the being expands.Painting this series was meditating with my brushes.
No reclaman.
